This Australian wood is both heavy and hard.
The note it produces is shorter in length than Maple. The Jarrah
produces strong mid and high frequencies, compared to Maples low
and mids. The Jarrah is extremely sensitive at all volumes, yielding
a truly articulate snare sound. Jarrah is also VERY loud. The cross
stick is "woody", almost like a wood block.
